UGEAC-2026 stands for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling 2026. It is conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for undergraduate technical admissions in Bihar.
For most students, UGEAC is mainly about B.Tech admission in Bihar engineering colleges through JEE Main Paper-I valid score. But UGEAC-2026 also includes B.Arch at Gaya College of Engineering and B.Tech Dairy Technology / Food Technology at SGIDT Patna.

Do not wait until the last date
A deadline does not care about your intention. Do not treat the official last date as your working date. Treat it as the emergency deadline. Your real deadline should be 2–3 days earlier.

⚠ OBC / BC / EBC confusion: In Bihar counselling, you must understand whether your valid certificate supports BC, EBC, or another applicable category. Do not fill category based on family language or WhatsApp advice.
⚠ EWS Warning: Do not select EWS only because your family income is low. EWS is a certificate-backed claim. If the certificate is not ready or invalid, do not submit casually.

How to judge colleges with outdated websites
Many lower-information colleges do not publish clean, current details about hostel, travel, labs or student life. Do not fill that gap with assumptions. Use the same verification checklist for every college in your choice list.
Is hostel active for boys/girls this year? If yes, who gets priority and what is the reporting process?
What is the real route from your home: train/bus, last-mile auto, travel time, and daylight safety?
What happens if hostel is unavailable for the first month: room rent, food, deposit and family travel cost?
Would you still choose this college if the branch is average, or are you only chasing admission security?
Can you speak to at least one current student before placing this college high?
If this option fails, is the next option still something you can accept?
If a fact is not verified, mark it as unknown. That is safer than guessing.
Final Pre-Locking Checklist
Check as many of these as possible before locking choices:
⛔ Red flags — do not rush if category is unclear, payment proof missing, confirmation page missing, choices copied from someone else, or you cannot explain your top 10 choices.
